Terms and Conditions for Rees Fox
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you (the client) and Rees Fox (the "Hypnotherapist"). By booking and attending a session with the Hypnotherapist, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Payment Terms
1.1 Initial Consultation and In-Depth Assessment
The initial consultation, including an in-depth assessment, must be paid for in advance. The fee for this consultation is £75.00. This payment ensures that sufficient time and resources are allocated to your initial session, which includes discussing your needs, reviewing your history, and setting objectives for your treatment plan.
1.2 Subsequent Follow-Up Consultations
Follow-up sessions are required to be paid in advance or on the day of the consultation. All payments may be made via cash, card or bank transfer. If paying by card, please be aware that a 1.69% fee is added to the payment for transactions processed through SumUp. This fee will be displayed before the transaction is completed, and your consent will be requested to proceed.
1.3 Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods include:
Please ensure that payment is received in full before or at the time of your scheduled appointment. Failure to do so may result in the session being rescheduled or cancelled.
2. Confidentiality
2.1 Confidentiality Commitment
All information shared during your hypnotherapy sessions will remain strictly confidential. This includes personal details, medical history, and the content of our discussions. Any records or notes made during your sessions will be stored securely and will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent, except when required by law.
2.2 Exceptions to Confidentiality
There are certain limited exceptions where confidentiality may be breached:
2.3 Records
The Hypnotherapist maintains accurate records of your sessions, which are used to track your progress and provide continuity of care. These records are securely stored and are accessible only to me, the Hypnotherapist, unless otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellation Notice
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee. This is necessary to compensate for the reserved time that could have been allocated to another client.
3.2 Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments
In the event that you miss an appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged 50% of the session fee. For missed appointments without prior notice, the full session fee will be charged. Please refer to cost of therapy for applicable pricing structure for sessions.
3.3 Late Arrivals
If you arrive late for your session, the session will proceed as scheduled, and you will be charged the full session fee. Please arrive on time to ensure that you receive the full benefit of the treatment.

4.1 Therapist’s Qualifications
Rees Fox is a fully qualified and registered hypnotherapist with certification from Royal Berkshire College of Clinical Hypnosis, adhering to the highest ethical standards of practice. You can find further details of my registration with Pending.
4.2 Scope of Practice
Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy and is not intended to replace medical treatment. While it can help with a wide range of conditions (e.g., stress, anxiety, smoking cessation), it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. You should continue to consult your GP or healthcare professional if you are undergoing medical treatment or have any health concerns.
4.3 No Guarantees
While many clients experience positive results from hypnotherapy, outcomes can vary. I cannot guarantee specific results, as each person’s response to treatment may differ.
5. General Terms
5.1 Appointment Confirmation
All appointments will be confirmed via text or email. Please ensure that you provide accurate contact details so that you can receive confirmation and any reminders. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are available at the agreed-upon time.
5.2 Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse service at any time if I deem that hypnotherapy is not suitable for your needs, or if your behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate. This includes any situation where I believe you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol or if I feel that continuing therapy is not in your best interest.
5.3 Personal Responsibility
By attending sessions, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in hypnotherapy. You are responsible for your own decisions and actions both during and after sessions. I do not accept responsibility for any personal decisions made outside of therapy.
5.4 Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
Your personal data will be handled in compliance with data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For further information, please refer to my Privacy Policy
6. Liability and Disclaimer
6.1 Health and Medical Disclaimer

6.2 Physical and Psychological Risks
While hypnotherapy is generally considered safe, there may be some mild psychological or physical reactions during or after sessions, including feeling relaxed or, occasionally, experiencing temporary discomfort. Please let me know immediately if you feel uncomfortable at any time.

8. Informed Consent
8.1 Informed Consent
By participating in hypnotherapy, you confirm that you understand the process and purpose of the therapy, including its potential benefits and any possible risks. You are also aware that hypnotherapy involves a state of focused attention and relaxation, and that it may involve discussing personal or sensitive matters.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable with the approach or any specific techniques, you have the right to stop the session or ask questions. Your participation in therapy is voluntary, and you may withdraw from treatment at any time.
9. Referral to Other Professionals
9.1 Referral
In the event that I believe your issue is better addressed by another healthcare professional (such as a doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist), I may suggest that you seek a referral for additional support.
